IUCN Green List Exchange
The IUCN Green List Exchange is a dedicated space for sharing ways to finance and resource conservation impact.
The Green List community can use the Exchange to share ideas and experiences on how to seek new resourcing and investment opportunities for successful conservation action.
Through the Exchange, IUCN will help mobilize the Green List Standard and programme for protected areas financing. ’Protected areas financing’ is a new strategic direction for scaling-up of the IUCN Green List by 2030. The Exchange will be powered by the IUCN Green List Finance Working group, comprised of interested experts and practitioners – Get Involved!
The Exchange will mobilize the value of the certification process of the IUCN Green List. This will help provide verification of impact and equitable outcomes to existing and new investments into protected and conserved areas in the Green List community.
Early priorities of the Exchange will be to develop and access markets for ecosystem services, such as for carbon mitigation and public health investments; and to explore new financial technologies for revenue generation for participating sites and their conservation actors.
